DOUGLAS MILLER

Strength & Conditioning Coach

If you’re going to truly excel in your sport, year round training is where it's part of the process. And, that process is not just going through motions. Strength Coaches, in high school settings, are not just another coach to bark orders at athletes. We care about athletic development, character development, relationships and so much more! And how we do that is by genuinely caring about growth, failures, and everything in between.

So, this is where I find myself. Hi, I'm Doug. And I am a High School Strength Coach.

I am also the owner of Miller Training Systems (MTS), which you may think is some brand or business. While it might be some form of that, MTS is so much more. It's a methodology, program, way of life, and demands growth not just physically but emotionally, spiritually and mentally.

I am a former DIII soccer athlete and through many coaching experience ups and downs, I developed my own athletic development program that fits athletes and non athletes and provides you with training that gets you more injury resistant, sport focused, and smarter with your training than ever before. Through my program model, and my own systems/methodologies that encompass multiple phases of development, you will not only develop skill and strength for your sport but you will also be challenged mentally, spiritually and emotionally all while developing character and leadership qualities for when you're on and off the field, in and out of the weight room. These tactics is what I bring to my current position at Oak Hill High School in Converse, Indiana. We chase greatness and in doing so we learn a lot about ourselves, our attitudes, efforts and hangups.

The three words that describe Coach Doug are inviting, committed and motivating. My daughter plays basketball, but Coach Doug was quick to welcome her into a group of Lacrosse players. His commitment to these girls is amazing. He motivates these young athletes to want more, to be better and to be stronger. He challenged the group, yet made it SO fun for the girls to keep coming back! Thank you for all that you do!
